Born in 1961, the Farmington Historical Society procures and preserves the history of the town and provides research help at the Titcomb House Muse um located at 118 Academy St. We have thousands of artifacts in our collections-from photos, maps and documents, to carriages and sleighs. The North Church received a new foundation, some electrical and plumbing updates in 2008. In 2013, the historical society initiated a capital campaign and restarted work to finish the lower level meeting room. This work has been completed, and currently, exterior painting is being completed. This building is becoming an event center with room to host meetings, parties and receptions. The Titcomb House, North Church and Octagon are all located in Farmington's downtown and National Historic District. The town has 12 other buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.Read more
