Who is Council on the Ageing

COTA (Council on the Ageing) Queensland is a statewide not for profit organisation giving older Queenslanders a voice on issues that affect them. We work in partnership with older Queenslanders and governments to create an Age Friendly Queensland. As the State's Seniors Peak organisation, COTA Queensland works collaboratively to advance the rights, needs and interests of older people. Coordinating Seniors Week since 2013, Seniors Week 2017 is to be held 19 -27 August. Our members and stakeholders are individuals aged 50 years and over, and organisations that support people as they age. We work with consumers, self-help and special interest groups as well as federal, state and local government, and non- government organisations to achieve the best outcomes for people as they age.
