Founded more than 30 years ago, CATCH Neighborhood Housing is a 501(c)3, community-based non-profit organization offering a full spectrum of housing and education services in Merrimack County, New Hampshire. We are focused on creating a community where every person is confident of a home. When real estate prices were soaring in the late 1980s, it became increasingly difficult for working people to find an apartment at a price they could afford. At the same time, area businesses were having trouble attracting workers because they could not afford to live in the area. To address this problem, a group of community leaders came together - people with experience in affordable housing, lawyers, business people, and residents - and the Concord Area Trust for Community Housing was born. Since 1989, CATCH has evolved into several different lines of business and prides itself on creating innovative housing solutions for low-to-moderate-income individuals and families. CATCH has expanded its rental portfolio to include 325 affordable, workforce housing units in Concord, Penacook, Bow, and Franklin, New Hampshire. These units serve approximately 740 seniors, adults, and children per year. Additionally, CATCH provides 24 much-needed market rate apartments and commercial spaces in the historic Endicott Hotel in downtown Concord, which reopened in 2013. In order to better meet the needs of its residents and ensure the proper maintenance of its rental properties, while also providing a source of sustainable funding for the organization, in 2013 CATCH created Alliance Asset Management , a property management, asset management, and financial services provider.
