Founded in 2002, Computancy originally provided a complete IT service with a computer repair workshop. As the online marketplace became more specialised, we decided in late 2013 to focus solely on the web side of the business; website design, hosting & search engine optimisation and dropping the computer repair side. An added benefit to changing ou... r core business services was that everything was now off-site, securely hosted in the cloud. We no longer needed a dedicated office with workshop and were free to work from any location - so we can work from either the UK or Hungary, my partners home country, which has much better summers! With internet phones, skype or instant messaging everyone is still local - wherever you live. Computancy is a small family business - so we understand the mechanics of SME's. We don't have a large full-time staff, only 2, but we have a core team of freelance specialists we work with around the world on contract basis dependent on which projects we are currently working on, and what skill set is needed. For the last few years we've had a 24/7/365 contract with a specialist server management company in India to monitor and maintain our London web and email servers. They are brilliant, and to date we've never had a problem with any server they manage.
