Classic Catering is a flexible, full service catering and event company. The principals involved have been serving the Pacific Northwest since 1970. Known for our great food, impeccable service and sincere attention to detail, Classic catering is one of Seattle's premier caterers. We take great pride in exceeding our guests' expectations each and every time. Ken Moriarty, President and Owner, apprenticed under Seattleite and former President of the National Restaurant Association, Victor Rosellini. Ken managed his Uncle Victor's world renowned restaurants and catering operations for over 15 years before forming Classic Catering in 1999 so to assure a third generation of these fine traditions, menus and service. Under Ken's leadership, Classic Catering has continued to grow and expand its customer base which includes many of the best companies in the state of Washington. Michael Cowart, Executive Chef and Owner, with over 34 years of experience, spent his early years with Schwartz Brothers Restaurants in Seattle. Chef Michael then went on to become the head Chef at the Washington Athletic Club and then moved on to become the Executive Chef for the McHugh Restaurant family establishments which included the flagship Restaurant F.X. McRory's Steak, Chop and Oyster House. Chef Michael played an integral role in the formation of Classic Catering and continues to be an instrumental guiding force of Classic's culinary operations. Mud McHugh, Sales and Customer Relations, has spent most of her career in the Hospitality business. Mud worked in marketing and sales for McHugh Restaurants before helping to launch Classic Catering in 1999. Mud is best known in the business for her exceptional customer service skills, which truly are a step above the rest. David Laigo, General Manager, comes from a long line of family members who captured the hospitality business in Seattle both in managing the distinguished Harbor Club and several of the locally owned McHugh Restaurants. David is an expert in the art of Food Service and offers an exceptional hands on approach with staff, clients and guests. Tim Moriarty, Operations Manager, has worked in all aspects of the catering business and has a great passion for the hospitality business. Tim's focus is always on making sure our guests' expectations are exceeded.
