Christian Community Homes and Services, Inc., sponsored by the Hudson United Methodist Church, is a not-for-profit parent corporation, and is tax exempt by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. In June 1981, Christian Community Home of Hudson, a Medicare and Medicaid certified rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility providing skilled and intermediate nursing care for the elderly and disabled, first began its operation. There are 21 double occupancy rooms, and 39 private rooms that provide for 81 residents with our long term care services. In 1983, a committee was formed to investigate additional living accommodations that would coincide with Christian Community Home's mission. It was decided that independent living for individuals age 55+ would be the next step. WinterGreen Independent Senior Apartments opened in 1986. There are 92 apartments with 11 different apartment styles to choose from. There are 34 one-bedroom units, 6 one-bedroom + den, 47 two-bedroom units, 3 two-bedroom suites, and 2 three-bedroom units. In 1993, the assisted living complex was built. Pine Ridge is licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF). It consists of 37 apartments with 24 hour staffing and provides assistance with activities of daily living. The apartments are designed with a living room and kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, and cabinets. The bedroom includes two closets and the bathroom has a walk-in/roll-in shower with a bench seat. In September of 2009, Pine Ridge Gardens was opened to provide memory care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. This is a specialized environment that is safe and secure yet provides both indoor and outdoor space for free movement. The residents have private apartments connected to a family style living space to come together for meals and activities.
