Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative

Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative is an electric utility that provides electricity to 8,000 meters on 1,443 miles of primary and secondary electric lines, which is divided between 853 miles of overhead and 590 miles of underground in Central Wisconsin. We are founded on seven principles that still guide us today. Utility cooperatives are private, independent businesses whose members have a financial interest in the operation. They are not-for-profit, democratically governed corporations that are based in the communities they serve. Cooperative profits, or margins, are either reinvested in the cooperative or returned to the member-owners as patronage capital.
