Who is Big Horn Psychological Services

Nestled at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains in Sheridan, Wyoming, Big Horn Psychological Services (BHPS) is an outpatient mental health clinic off ering professional psychological and counseling services to children, adolescents and adults. We work with individuals, families and couples. Our mission at BHPS is to facilitate healing, growth and understanding in order to help the individuals, families, and couples seeking services make the kinds of psychological, behavioral and emotional changes necessary to achieve their full potential and lead healthy, rewarding and meaningful lives. Below are the services we provide, problems and disorders we specialize in treating, and costs of services. We accept private pay, most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid and do some contracting with organizations. Initial diagnostic evaluations are $160 per hour for doctoral providers and $155 per hour for master's level providers. For psychotherapy, the fee for doctoral level providers is $130 for a 45-50 minute psychotherapy session, and $125 for master's level providers. Psychological Assessments are all done by doctoral providers at the rate of $160 per hour. Forensic evaluations, and preparation and testifying in legal proceedings, are charged at $260 per hour. At BHPS we recognize that people are complex and we have consistently had the best treatment outcomes when we take the time to understand the individuals we are working with, and the problems they present with, from multiple levels. While diagnoses are useful for treatment planning, our more comprehensive approach involves taking bio-genetic, developmental, cognitive, emotional, personality, experiential, important relationships, and spiritual factors into consideration. Because no two people are alike, we work to tailor our treatment approach to the individual in a collaborative manner that is oriented toward patient goals.
