RUACH serves Greater Milwaukee through creative arts instruction and programming in music, visual arts, dance and theater at numerous Jewish and at-large venues. Since its founding almost six years ago, RUACH has grown into a vibrant community asset. Among those who have benefited from RUACH's services are various Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, including the Jewish schools; the Jewish Home and Care Center and its assisted living facilities; the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center; Jewish Museum Milwaukee; the Coalition for Jewish Learning, Gilda's Club-Southeastern Wisconsin, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-St. Joseph and other agencies, synagogues and community groups. RUACH concerts and recitals have delighted thousands of Milwaukeeans over the years, including Former Soviet Union elderly who have been provided free transportation in collaboration with Jewish Family Services. RUACH's creative arts initiatives sponsored by the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Mary Nohl Fund of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Helen Bader Foundation, the Jewish Community Foundation and component funds, CAMPAC and other generous donors have brought talented artists to a wide variety of community settings. Music instruction at Yeshiva Elementary School in Sherman Park and elsewhere has been provided by RUACH in conjunction with the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and other instructors hired by RUACH. Creative movement instruction for both children and adults has been added more recently to RUACH's offerings. At a time of budgetary cutbacks, RUACH brings agencies together with collaborative programming at relatively low cost.
