Located at 609 9th Avenue, between 43rd and 44th Streets in the Theater District, Chimichurri Grill is an Argentine steakhouse that combines modern cooking techniques with traditional Argentine quality ingredients in order to put a "nuevo" (new) spin on our country's cuisine. Starting as a mere dream of owner/manager Alicia Rodriguez thirteen years ago, Chimichurri Grill is now a proud family-owned and family-operated enterprise in Midtown West. We are an Argentine "parrilla" (grill) whose methods have been updated to meet the demanding palates and service expectations of today's New Yorker. Our name pays homage to the "chimichurri" sauce that remains a huge part of traditional Argentine "criollo" culture. Chimichurri is a slightly tangy, slightly spicy sauce made of oil, vinegar, garlic, parsley and red pepper flakes. This sauce is one of the national treasures of Argentina, and our own versions from our family's secret recipes are featured prominently throughout our menu, and accompanies all our steaks. We invite you to spend a meal with us so you can experience the "buena onda" ("good vibes") and warm hospitality of Alicia, Chef Carlos and all of the staff at Chimichurri Grill. In our steakhouse we serve only all natural, grass-fed beef, which we believe to be the proper healthy alternative to the corn-fed meat which finds its way onto so many restaurant plates today. Chef Carlos personally procures every single item to be cooked and served at Chimichurri Grill, and makes all of our sauces, pastas, and desserts in-house, in keeping with the traditions of the best Argentine "parrilla" restaurants. In addition, Alicia personally selects the wine we serve in order to ensure good value, great quality and total compatibility with all our homemade dishes. Enjoying a hearty, affordable Argentine Malbec, Cabernet or Bonarda alongside our home-cooked food will leave you happy, full, and maybe just a little bit more Argentine. We believe that hospitality is as important a part of the dining experience as the food itself, and will go out of our way to make you feel at home in the restaurant that has come to be our home away from home.
