Description:

The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit association. The ACA was established in 1975, and incorporated in 1978, after operating for a number of years as the Archives Section of the Canadian Historical Association (CHA). Today, the ACA represents over 600 English-speaking archivists in Canada, with headquarters in Ottawa. Our mission is to provide the archival profession leadership and to facilitate an understanding and appreciation of Canada's archival heritage. What is a student chapter? A Student Chapter is defined under the ACA By-Laws as "a forum for discussion among student members, to attract and integrate new student members into the ACA, and to encourage student involvement in the ACA." More information about the ACA can be found attheir website.
