The ZoomInfo Digital Marketing team is seeking an SEO Specialist to work independently and as part of team to assist with website maintenance and lead generation through SEO (on-site, off-site, technical, and video), website optimization, and new methods of traffic acquisition. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO best practices and a willingness to jump right in and get started. Above all else we are looking for a team player who values collaboration and hard work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Optimization: The SEO Specialist will take on the majority of daily content optimization tasks. They will also own the optimization of historical content based on a pre-determined list of striking distance and thematic keywords each month. This means assessing and executing SEO optimization suggestions for around 30 keywords each month.
Content Creation: The SEO specialist will be responsible for writing the occasional blog post and contributing to discussions around topic selection and blog post ideas.
Backlinking: The SEO Specialist will be responsible for the majority of backlinking efforts. This includes all research, outreach, follow up, and coordination. He/she will also be responsible for identifying new backlink opportunities.
Specialized SEO Projects and Tasks: Work with a team of digital marketers and developers to execute SEO projects and tasks as assigned—these may include technical or content-related website changes, regular and as-needed reporting, as well as one-off projects related content audits, link audits, competitive research, and more.
Lead Generation: Assist with and execute basic lead generation campaigns and duties to contribute to overall digital marketing lead generation goals.
- Cover letter, resume, and relevant writing samples.
- 1-2 years of experience in SEO or digital marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of basic SEO best practices.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager.
- Experience with tools like Brightedge, MOZ, Screaming Frog, or SEMrush is preferred but not required.
- A basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven analytical skills and data-driven thinking; ability to use data and insights to drive future digital marketing initiatives.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- Strong attention to detail.
