Jakob joined UCL in October 2005 to innovate GIS and geodemographics in health care planning in a partnership project between UCL and Southwark Primary Care Trust.This project is funded through ESRC and Department of Transport and Industry and runs from 2005-2008.He is also studying for a PhD in the application of geodemographics in health care planning under the supervision prof. Paul Longley and Dr. Philip Atkinson.Before arriving at UCL he obtained degrees in biology (MSc) from Aarhus University and GISc (MSc) from Birkbeck, University of London.His research interests are: geodemographics, health geography, health care planning, and spatial data analysis.
