SpiritSong Ministries founder, Deanna Jaworski, to be featured
LANGLEY, VA - The Open Church of Jesus Christ today announced plans for a springtime musical celebration weekend of fellowship and worship, culminating in a concert of love, healing and renewal by recording artist and former nightclub musician, Deanna Jaworski, of SpiritSong Ministries on Saturday, March 27, 1999, at 11:00 a.m.

While still in high school, Deanna Jaworski, began her musical career singing at many clubs and restaurants at the New Jersey Shore.She went on to entertain in Manhattans's finest club circuit including Rodney Dangerfield's, Copacabana, the Rainbow Grill at Rockefeller Center and Catch a Rising Star.She received a spiritual calling in 1983, and worked for four years in music ministry for the New Jersey District of the Assemblies of God.In 1987, because of coming out as a God-fearing, born again lesbian, she was excommunicated from her denomination for being "a reproach to the cross of Jesus Christ."Determined to continue to serve God and be open and honest about her sexuality, she moved to South Florida, where she served as Music Director for two gay-affirming congregations in the MCC denomination.She is currently Director of Music at New Hope Community Church in Delray Beach, FL.
In 1997, Deanna and Jill Andrews (her life partner of 12 years) founded SpiritSong Ministries to "Ignite the world for Christ, one life at a time."
