Prior to joining Citizens, Eon was manager of operations and technology for First Merchants Corporation, a $3 billion nine-bank holding company headquartered in Muncie Indiana.From 1999-2000, he was the manager of operations and data processing for One Valley Bancorp in Charleston, West Virginia.
He spent 16 years in a variety of operations positions in the Bank One organization.From 1997 until 1999, he was the national manager of Bank One's deposit operations.In this capacity, he was responsible for the national strategy and best practices for systems, processes and processing locations.
Eon began his Bank One career as senior operations officer for two Bank One banks in Houston, Texas in 1983.In this position, he also had responsibility for the retail, human resources, and accounting functions.In 1987, he was promoted to deposit operations manager for Bank One, Houston.He was responsible for all deposit processing functions for this $5 billion bank, including statement processing, exceptions processing, data entry, account maintenance, time deposit operations and customer inquiry support.Eon also served as manager of Bank One's central Texas regional operations center and as operations manager of Bank One, Kentucky.
Eon received his BS degree from Sam Houston State University -- Huntsville Texas and his MBA in finance from the University of Houston.He attended the Darden Graduate School of Banking at the University of Virginia and the BAI Graduate School of Bank Operations at Vanderbilt University.
