I had known Mike Crotty , TexStyle's CEO for many years and now he was making me an offer to work for him.
On my flight back from my interview with Mike , my thoughts drifted from the excitement of a new job to remembering that on Friday , I was having a needle biopsy on the lump I had found in my breast.
Mike was as much in shock as I was about my biopsy results. I felt I should not accept the position. I told Mike I would spend some time considering how they could continue to build their business.
An idea came to me in the Doctor's office. I grabbed a piece of paper and began to write a marketing plan for TexStyle. The old saying Let's turn this lemon into lemonade fit very well in helping resolve the issues I was facing.
TexStyle is a well-established , 54 year old , textile company. Their customers expect a quality product at a fair price.

As Mike stated , Our company has a new reason to exist and we can make a difference in so many lives through funds we raise..
PillowsForLife is the name of my original proposal and now the name of my web site. Through this site I am able to share my experience with other women and provide a message center for them to support one another and inform them where they can purchase the products that support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Learning to follow my heart , led to the birth of LIFE & STYLE products.
It's not easy to be positive when dealing with a life-threatening illness. However , it is very important during your healing process. -
