The conference, which will provide information on starting and/or running a successful business venture, is appealing because of its comprehensive approach, says Christopher Bolen of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, the conference chairman."The conference will feature speakers and programs offering a variety of ideas for the entrepreneur, such as how to tackle the problems of a new and growing business," says Bolen.

"The conference serves as a kick-off," Bolen says, introducing prospective entrepreneurs to the pipeline. He encourages those thinking of starting an entrepreneurial venture to attend: "It may help them make up their minds to take the plunge."
Over six hundred entrepreneurs, business owners and managers, and business students from the Research Triangle and the State of North Carolina attended last year's conference to understand new business trends, network and share their experiences, and learn from successful entrepreneurs.
Topics such as internet marketing, franchising your business and changing direction also will be included in the conference programming to benefit more experienced business owners."The conference is also intended to re-energize the middle-stage and established entrepreneur," Bolen adds.
CED and Fuqua have experienced great success with the conference in the past, says Bolen, evolving each year to meet entrepreneurs' changing needs."A lot has changed in the past 11 years, but the basics of running a business and the purpose of the conference have not," Bolen says."As with the first, the 12th Annual Conference for Entrepreneurship is dedicated to those who are bold enough to build enterprises based on their own ideas and own energies. It provides them with a service that shows a real appreciation for their importance to this region and for their roles in the business community."
