Melissa Zittel Ms. Zittel practices in the area of civil litigation. She defends hospitals, physicians and other allied health care professionals against claims of malpractice. She also represents hospitals and nursing homes in the defense of negligence matters. She has extensive experience in writing appellate briefs. In addition, Ms. Zittel counsels and advises physicians confronted with disciplinary proceedings and licensing matters. Ms. Zittel is a graduate of Cornell University (B.S., with distinction, 1997) and the University at Buffalo School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2000). While in law school she served as Business Editor for the Buffalo Law Review. Ms. Zittel is admitted to practice in New York State and Federal Court, Western District of New York. She is a member of the American, New York State and Erie County Bar Associations. She is an active participant in the Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Lawyers for Learning tutoring program.
