  Jerry Zimmerman - Wis. State Fair Historian, Jerdadzim@cs.com. Reply: September 04, 2004 - In answer to this question, it is absolutely TRUE. The elephant was called Little Jennie. She was a female Asian elephant on the Cole Bros. Circus from 1940 until it closed in 1954.
