    February 15, 2002 - Within 72 hours of the World Trade Center disaster, Seaboard Marine's Freddy Zelaya flew to New York City to assist in relief efforts.Zelaya has deservedly received many "thank yous" for his dedication in this time of need.

    The following article, which describes some of Zelaya's efforts, appeared recently in the South Dade Newsleader.

    Local businesses such as Seaboard Marine and Turkel, Schwartz & Partners, give back to the community by supporting employees who volunteer for the American Red Cross in times of disaster, both locally and nationally.

    Shortly after the attacks on September 11th, Freddy Zelaya, a volunteer with the Red Cross for more than nine years and a Human Resources Assistant at Seaboard Marine, was called to assist with Red Cross relief efforts in New York City.Two days later, he was boarding a plane headed to New York for a three week Red Cross volunteer assignment with full support from his employer.

    Seaboard Marine is happy to support employees who are willing to give their time for worthy causes such as the event on September 11th in New York City.
