Marilyn Zehner

The firefighters - the same crew that responded to Melissa's emergency at the graduation ceremony - included Lieutenant Billy MacLeod, Rick Algood, Mike Anderson, Tim Harte, Mike Roethler, John Stuart and Marilyn Zehner.

Marilyn grew up in Speedway and graduated from Speedway High School in 1986.Marilyn is married and has three children; Corinne (8), Kylie (6), and Kyle (5).They have lived in Franklin Township for approximately 8 years.Ed, her husband is a police officer for the Indianapolis Police Department and is a sniper instructor for the SWAT team.Corinne and Kylie attend Wanamaker Elementary and Kyle attends St. Johns Lutheran School.Her girls enjoy gymnastics and cheerleading and her son enjoys playing soccer.She enjoys working out, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.Marilyn enjoyed her job as an EMT with Wishard Ambulance Service and wanted to do more.She decided that she could do more by becoming a firefighter too.Marilyn has been an EMT for the past three years with Wishard.She is the third female firefighter that has been hired by Franklin Township Fire Department.She hopes to have a long career here at the Franklin Township Fire Department.She would like to become a paramedic and eventually move up in rank.We welcome Marilyn to the team.
