    About Rob Zazueta

Rob Zazueta has been on the forefront of the Internet industry since building one of the first student web sites on UC Berkeley's network in 1994.He began his love of all things computer at the age of 10 when, faced with the obsolescence of his handed-down TRS-80, he taught himself BASIC in order to bend the machine to his will.He started his first single-node BBS (Orange County's "High Flight BBS") in 1989 using GAP software on a 386 running out of his bedroom on a 19.2k bps modem.

Since 1997, Rob has helped design and build such web properties as Intuit's Quicken.com and AOL's Digital Cities.Rob was also a pioneering member of MightyWords, a company dedicated to delivering secure digital content, before its demise in December 2001.While there, he applied his knowledge of Java to help develop a digital rights management system (DRM) that required no special client aside from Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0. In the summer of 2003, Rob designed and built FlockSmart.com, the nexus of the international Flash Mob movement.

During his illustrious career, Rob has taken on the role of systems administrator, lead developer, software engineer, MIS hack and journalist. In addition to his skills as a computer geek, Rob has written more than 250 articles for The Daily Californian, UC Berkeley's independent student newspaper, where he served on the city desk as both editor and crime beat reporter between 1995 and 1997.Some of his work has been printed in other university publications as well as the San Francisco Chronicle.

Rather than rent a store front on main street, purchase a ton of inventory to clutter the backroom and hire a staf of sales people to man the tills, all you need now is a web host ($9.95/mo at Hurrican Electric - Tell them Rob Zazueta sent you), a few HTML pages (free if you if you learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript), some way to collect the momey (also free if you know where to go) and a marketing plan that gets your site in front of the right eyeballs.

Working as a freelancer himself in addition to his full time web development jobs for many years, founder Rob Zazueta continually heard the same complaints from all of his clients. They found someone to build their web site, paid them quite a bit of money and, more often than not, the person developing the web site either didn't deliver what the customer expected or simply disappeared after it was complete. When the customer went back to the developer months later to expand or fix the site, the developer was nowhere to be found.

Rob Z. left the full time working world and founded TechKnowMe to rectify this problem by providing professional web site development, design and consulting services custom fit to the needs of small businesses like yours.
