Phil Zawa has over 25 years experience managing information technology and implementing leading-edge technologies in large corporate and professional services organizations.Some of his most recent engagements include: 1) leading a strategic technology and benchmarking project for a top Australian firm, 2) performing and in-depth IT organization and staffing analysis for a West Coast-based firm, and 3) leading the portal requirements and selection efforts of an AmLaw 20 firm.Other accomplishments include planning and managing the technology merger of one of the largest U.S.-based firms with a City of London firm, serving as the overall project manager for one of the largest law firm mergers in the U.S., and guiding the efforts of a large U.K. law firm in the design and implementation of a client service portal.
Mr. Zawa heads our IT Strategy & Management Solution Line and regularly manages or contributes to IT Planning, Assessment, and Organizational Development projects.He is also an active member of our Collaborative Systems Solution Line working in the areas of document management, knowledge management, and portal solutions.
His expertise includes aligning technology and business plans, IT organizational development, management education, KM, law firm mergers, portal evaluation and design, and technology assessments.Prior to joining the legal industry, he was Director of Technology Planning for Premark International / Dart & Kraft, where he was responsible for targeting key technology/business opportunities, technology forecasting, management education on technology topics, and guiding the strategic and operational technology planning process for this diversified corporation.Mr. Zawa is a graduate of the University of Chicago and holds an MBA in Information Resources Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
