Diana L. Zavala

Also new to the ACSA team is Diana Zavala, legislative assistant in the Governmental Relations Department in Sacramento.Zavala is in charge of tracking all education-related legislation and referring individual bills to the appropriate legislative advocate.She also provides clerical support for ACSA's legislative advocates.

Previously, Zavala worked at Arnold and Associates, a contract lobbying firm in Sacramento, as well as the California School Boards Association.In all, she has spent more than 16 years working for lobbyists with a variety of political interests, but said coming to ACSA will allow her to better understand the issues affecting what she calls a good cause - public schools.

Diana Zavala serves as the Executive Secretary for Arnold & Associates.Diana came to work for Arnold & Associates in January of 2003.She has worked in the legislative arena for approximately 9 years and has over 20 years of experience as a secretary.Prior to joining Arnold & Associates, Diana worked for the California School Boards Association as their legislative assistant for four full time lobbyists.Prior to that, she worked for the Butte County Office of Education as the Office Manager overseeing three full-time secretaries and many part-time students.She also worked for the California Forestry Association as the legislative secretary for three full-time lobbyists and was in charge of all FPPC Reporting.
