Weixing Yu received the B.Sc. degree in applied physics from Northwestern Polytechnic University, Xi'an, China, in 1998 and the M.Sc degree in optics from Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Changchun, China, in 2001 and Ph.D in electric and electronic engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2004. He is now a Research Associate at the Micro System Engineering Center, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, Heriot-Watt University.His research interests include microoptics, microfabrication and wafer bumping.
