Dr. D. C. Yu

D. C. Yu has served as our Vice President, Research since January 2000, and previously held the position of Director of Research since joining the Company in January 1997.His post-doctoral work was completed at the University of California, San Francisco in 1995 where he worked for two years as a staff scientist after his post-doctoral studies.Dr. Yu successfully developed a virus-based genetic transfection system for the most ancient eukaryotes Giardia Lamblia and discovered a novel mRNA translation mechanism for eukaryote.Dr. Yu has authored 22 papers in molecular virology and has been a major inventor of 8 pending patents.Dr. Yu holds a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Genetics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an MS degree in Plant Physiology from Nanjing Forestry University and a BS degree in Agronomy from Zhejiang Forestry University.[ back ]
