Andy (Gi-wei) Chu, from Rosemead, California, will be attending college in his home state at UCLA.As the son of immigrants who made many sacrifices and worked diligently, Andy maintains that nothing will stop him from reaching his goals.Andy¹s high grades and many extra-curricular activities as well as his leadership prove his efforts.As a result, he has continuously made the dean¹s list.He excelled in leadership by being an active member in the Interact club.He has also consistently ranked in the top ten in the Debate club, and promoted the Spanish club.He is layout director of the Literary Anthology Club, ran cross-country for two years and part of an award winning school band.Andy tutored constantly at a local elementary school, volunteers at the local hospital and for city events.He promotes an intercultural week on campus every year, as well.
