Allen Yu

Global business expert Allen Yu has been appointed senior vice president, strategic development for Affinia Group Inc., effective June 6.

Yu comes to Affinia from Safety-Kleen Corp.While serving as vice president of sales operations, he led several company-wide profitability improvement initiatives, and increased sales productivity by 15 percent through implementation of new sales tools, compensation plans and performance improvement programs.

Prior to Safety-Kleen, Yu was with McKinsey & Co., where he specialized in helping clients develop growth and operational improvement strategies.He came to McKinsey from General Electric, having spent seven years in a variety of management roles, primarily related to global sourcing.
