Cedric S. Young, Development Vice President, manages the development of a number of Venture Corporation projects from inception through final completion.He is responsible for creating proformas, assembling and managing the project team and ensuring the proper cost controls are in place to meet financial hurdles.His current projects include Venture Commerce Centers in Antioch (northeast Bay Area), Fremont (East Bay Area) and Fairfield.Before joining Venture Corporation, Cedric was Director of Construction for SyWest Development, a real estate developer, where he oversaw the development of retail and commercial projects.Cedric's 20-plus years of experience includes running his own development management company, senior construction manager for Starbucks Coffee Company, Project Manager for the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Jose, Senior Project Manager for the Gap and an associate architect at the internationally known architectural firm of Gensler & Associates.Cedric has an MBA from the Haas School of Business and a BA in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
