    Called to preach the Word of God on January 1,1936, the anointed Pastor Anna Mae Young is completing 66 years in the ministry.Born in Indianola, Mississippi and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, she was saved at the early age of 15 under Pastor Jacob Almond at Freeman Avenue Church of God.

    She toured with the great Evangelist Agnes Coleman as a singer and soloist for a two year period beginning at age 17.Called to the ministry at age 18, Pastor Young was privileged to speak that same summer of 1936 to at the National Youth's Sunday afternoon gathering at West Middlesex.

    In 1939, she married Bishop Goff Young.After an Interim Pastorate and extensive outreach on the Evangelistic Field, they accepted the Pastorate at Third Street Church of God and served there from 1946 through 1957.Their daughter, Priscilla was born in 1951.Sis.Young held offices as Women's Missionary President (now known as Women of the Church of God) and Youth President for the Midwest states in the 1940's.

    In 1957, the newly developed church in Pasadena called the Young's as Pastor and Co-Pastor of the Neighborhood Church of God.Sis.Young faithfully served her husband and the church until 1979 when Bishop Young went home to be with the Lord.

    Pastor Anna Mae Young entered full-time Evangelistic Ministry from 1980-84.

    Upon fulfilling her commitment to Tucson in 2000, Pastor Young returned to her beloved Pasadena Church of God and became Pastor Emeritus.She currently serves on the Pastoral Team at Pasadena Church of God as Pastor to Seniors.
