Angus has a MCA by research with Distinction in Economic History, Victoria University of Wellington (2002), BA (Hon) with First Class Honours in Political Studies, University of Auckland (1999), and BA, University of New South Wales (1998), and was awarded postgraduate scholarships from University of Wollongong and Macquarie University in 2002-4.He is currently undertaking PhD studies at the Faculty of law, UTS on changing business expectations and regulatory obligations of non-executive directors in Australian publicly listed companies.
His professional experiences ranges from banking, public policy research, para-legal to academia.He has taught and worked across six universities in Australia and New Zealand in the faculty of law, business and humanities.Presently, teaching part time at the School of Management and Insearch, UTS.He is also a part-time Education and Training Consultant to a Member of the Legislative Council at Parliament of New South Wales, where he was Legislative Advisor in 2002.
He has published on Australian business regulation, compliance, legal education, and management.His recent conference papers were on Australian corporate regulations and governance.He has also recently been appointed to the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Australian New Zealand Academy of Management, is a member of the Publications Standing Committee and Regulator Engagement Working Party in the Australasian Compliance Institute, and was a Visiting Scholar at the New Zealand Asia Institute, University of Auckland in 2003.As well, he is currently a Researcher for Legal Education Digest, Administrator for Legal Education Review, and editorial assistant for International Encyclopedia of Organization Studies.
