Mr. Young began his investment career in 1983 when he left the practice of law to join a brokerage group at Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb, Inc. where he remained, as a Vice President - Investments, until 1995.The group's client base included high net worth individuals, institutional investors, and hedge funds, corporations, and merchant banks.During his tenure client assets, in-house, grew to over $250 million and, in 1993 through 1994, the group placed over $1 billion of securities with clients.In addition, the group initiated five corporate acquisition bids, ten 13-D size investments and advised, or negotiated and structured, eight private equity placements. Mr. Young left Lehman Brothers in August 1995 in order to pursue start-up, equity financing, and advisory opportunities leading to the formation of Young & Co., LLC.In that capacity, Mr. Young is Founder of RAM Reinsurance Co.Ltd ("RAM Re").RAM Re is a Bermuda-domiciled, monoline financial guaranty reinsurer of investment grade asset-backed and municipal debt securities.RAM Re is the first independent Bermuda company to receive, and currently maintains, an 'AAA' claims-paying ability rating from Standard & Poor's Corp.RAM Re commenced operations with total claims-paying resources in excess of $120 million and has had two successful follow-on equity offerings since inception.
