Berlitz International , Inc. today announced the retirement of Hiromasa Yokoi as Vice Chairman , Chief Executive Officer and President effective June 30 , 2000.

Mr. Yokoi was named Vice Chairman of the Board , Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company in 1993.He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Berlitz since 1991 and will continue to do so for the next two years.
