Mamiko Yokoi-Arai is Lecturer in International Finance Law at CCLS.Formerly, she worked at the Bank of Japan involved in Asian regulatory cooperation policy.She specialises in regional financial regulatory issues involving institutional aspects, financial stability issues, and financial regulatory reform.She published Financial Stability Issues: The Case of East Asia (Kluwer) and edited Financial Crises in the 1990s (BIICL).She has given seminars to the Bank of Japan and written for the Financial Service Agency in Japan.She has consulted for international institutions such as EBRD and World Bank.

Mamiko Yokoi-Arai, BA.MA, PhD (cand.) is associate director of the London Centre for International Financial Studies & Rule of Law (based at BIICL); and research and teaching fellow at CCLS, Queen Mary, London.She previously worked at the Bank of Japan involved in formulating the central bankís policy in relation to Asia and was member of various working groups concerning Asian central bank relations.She has consulted the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the evaluation of their legal reform programmes which is one of the first comprehensive evaluation of IFIsí legal reform programmes.She has presented and written on various topics related to central banking and financial crisis legal issues, recently co-editing a book on financial crisis legal issues.
