Bill G. Yoakum

Bill Yoakum, 49, of Pittsburg, died at 1:42 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Mo.

He was born Sept. 16, 1954, at Pittsburg, to Bill G. and Therese Marie (Lyons) Yoakum.He graduated from Colgan High School in 1972.He attended Pittsburg State University.

On Aug. 7, 1971, he married Bobbie Turigliatto in Chicopee at St. Barbara's Catholic Church.She survives of the home.

He was active in youth counseling all of his life and for the last 16 years was the director of Elm Acres Youth Home.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a founding member of Pittsburg Optimist Club.
