I can only bow in praise of Manila Bulletin owner, Don Emilio Yap, for his continued support to the NPC, this time around gifting the Club with a P1.77 million donation.
    ...
Thankfully for everybody, Mr. Yap has again come to the Club's rescue.Incidentally, his generosity also helped fulfill this early Pres.Benny and his partymates' election promise that they would see to it that the NPC debts are erased before they step down in 2010.

If MalacaƱang, which saw the Piatco contract nullification through at the SC, is not disposed to look into why the Chengs, together with the "astute" Don Emilio Yap, may well be on board the Manila Hotel Corp. deal to operate NAIA 3, what about the Senate?

After all, wasn't it the Senate blue ribbon committee that got the public and, ultimately, President Macapagal-Arroyo all fired up over the "onerous" provisions in the repeatedly altered Piatco contract on NAIA 3?

The $200-million deal of Yap, MHC chairman, on Fraport's 30- percent stake in Piatco puts the Manila Bulletin's "don" hand-in-glove with the Chengs, principals in the SC-voided, thus, illegal Piatco contracts on NAIA 3.
    ...
There's yet to be any bankable showing, not even the $50-million downpayment to Fraport to start the money trail, of Yap's heralded buy-in.

For assurance , Mayor Ruiz called and inquired Don Emilio Yap about the liquidation of the said amount. The most generous Mr. Yap replied that it is not necessary to liquidate the said amount as it is in the Mayor's will on how he spends it.It would be much better if it will be deposited at the Mayor's personal Bank account , Yap added.

Mayor Ruiz ended his message to informing the employees of the local government of Dapitan and especially the people of Barangay Tamion and Dampalan that he will spend the money not for his personal interest but for worthwhile projects that will surely benefit the Dapitanons specifically the allocation of drugs or medicines which is needed the most.

    ...
Manila Bulletin Chairman Don Emilio Yap offered the said amount during the celebration of Mayor Ruiz's birthday weeks ago.
