Dr. Yang is regarded as the lead scholar on Call Detail Records (CDR), Telco Grade Compliance, Telephony billing systems and international voice recording compliance. Dr. Yang has over 30 years of experience and is currently the Chief Technical officer of EDI Systems Limited, where he was responsible for the development of VOIP and RFID systems, global GPS system development. Dr. Yang has been a Director for various telecom companies including, Harrow Telecom Limited, Cellular Instruments Limited as well as WOL Communications Limited. Over the years he was a co-founder of seven Joint Venture Companies providing technical support to specify and build paging, packet switching and cellular telephone services in China. Dr. Yang has been instrumental in aligning support from China Telecom and procuring the required licenses to do business in China, including obtaining support from the Ministry of Information and Industry (MII), the Ministry of Television and the Ministry of Tourism. He was also granted ISP, on-line advertising and gaming licenses from the MII.

Dr. Yang holds a Ph.D. in Computer Simulation from Salford University, U.K. He is a Member/Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers, the Institution of Electrical Engineers and of the British Computer Society.
