Born in Guangdong, China, Wang Xu is a graduate of the design department of the Guangzhou Fine Arts College.After working for over ten years as a graphic designer in Hong Kong, Wang founded Wang Xu & Associates Ltd. in Guangzhou, China in 1995.The recipient of numerous design awards, Wang participates actively in juries and exhibitions.His work has been featured in publications such as Print, Idea, High Quality, and Graphis.His works are part of the collections of the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe, Brandenburgische Kunstsammlungen Cottbus, Dansk Plakatmuseum and Die Neue Sammlung.In addition, Wang has edited 14 issues of Design Exchange Magazine and numerous volumes of the book series Graphic Designers' Design Life

Wang Xu Wang Xu graduated from the Design Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1979. He came to Hong Kong in 1986 and had been working as a graphic designer until 1995 when he went back to Guangzhou and founded the WX-design. Wang is member of the New York Art Directors Club and Alliance Graphique Internationale. He is professor of Hunan University, design director of Guangdong Museum of Art. Wang Xu has received more than 100 international design awards, including Icograda Excellence Award in the 17th International Biennale of Graphic Design Brno, winning the Silver Medal twice in the New York Art Directors Club Annual Awards, the Golden Bee Awards twice in the International Biennale of Graphic Design Moscow, and the Special Recognition Prize in the Shaw Prize International Design Competition. He has also judged at international competitions such as the 80th and 84th ADC Annual Awards, International Biennale of Graphic Design Brno, International Competition Poster and Graphic Arts Festival of Chaumont, Tokyo TDC Awards 2005. In 2000 he was invited to be the Visual Committee member of Beijing's Bid for the 2008 Olympics and jury member of the Logo Competition for Beijing' Bid for the 2008 Olympics. He has given lectures and speeches on many occasions.
