For A.G. Wu, 24, style is more than a statement.

"Fashion is all about nonverbal communication," says Wu, a consultant at Cerner Corp. in North Kansas City."If you carry yourself with an air of confidence, you say so much about who you are without saying a word."

Wu shops only once or twice a year, but he buys "really expensive, nice things that I'll want to wear in 10 years."

He also gets all of his clothing tailored."If it looks like it belongs to your dad or big brother, it looks ridiculous," he says.

But most importantly, says Wu, who grew up in Atlanta and now lives on the Country Club Plaza, it's all about the wow factor.

"I like to always have things on that make people turn their heads and go, 'Where did this come from?',"
