  The NHS Confederation has appointed David Worskett as the director of its NHS Partners Network - the grouping of private sector companies delivering patient care on behalf of the NHS.
  ...
  David has spent the past 5 years as Commercial Director of Bevan Brittan LLP, a major national law firm recognised for its health sector expertise, progressive culture and ability to span and build links between the public and private sectors.
  
  Earlier in his career, David was for 10 years corporate affairs director of RAC Motoring Services Ltd and subsequently Chief Executive of the Engineering and Technology Board.After leaving Oxford, he initially joined the Home Civil Service, working in the old Departments of the Environment and Transport.
  
  Commenting on his new role, David Worskett said:

  "David will bring valuable experience of working in both the private and public sectors to the Confederation.We know that our partner network firms can deliver for NHS patients.There is a real opportunity here to reinforce how much the independent sector has to offer the NHS.
  
  "As network director, David will be an excellent advocate for his members both to government and the wider public."
