The school's standardized test scores prove that, said SBCS Director of Development Brenda Woodard.SBCS gives the Stanford 9 achievement test, the same yardstick used to measure academic performance in public school students, annually to each of its students, with the exception of seniors, she said.
"Our average standardized test scores (in 2001) are one year and six months above grade level."

Woodard said she hopes to raise $40,000 at the auction, which will go to support the school.
