   Michael joined the Boston Crusaders in 1978 as a soprano player from Norwood, MA.He marched in the corps brass section until 1982, when he was named drum major.He held this position for 1983 and 1984.After aging out, Michael joined the visual staff, shared visual design responsibilities, became staff coordinator and a key part of the management team until 1992.Michael has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1989.He is a Managing Director and Head of Mutual Fund Shareholder Services for Putnam Investments.Michael is also a member of the Putnam Fiduciary Trust Company Board of Directors, the National Investment Company Service Association Board of Directors and the Investment Company Institute Operations Committee.Michael is a graduate of Northeasern University and lives in West Roxbury, MA with his wife Julie and sons Michael, Mark, Neal and daughter Barbara.
