On four occasions prior to the arrest, troopers from the Michigan State Police Post in Wakefield attempted to track down Wood, Adams said.

Wood mysteriously didn't come out after the game, even though he played in the game.

"On the fifth attempt, Mr. Wood was arrested at the college."
...
Adams said if Wood had wanted to clear things up, "He certainly could have volunteered himself to any law enforcement agency."
...
If Wood hadn't waived Friday's preliminary hearing, evidence would have been submitted showing a digital scale, box of sandwich baggies and over a quarter pound of marijuana in a one gallon-sized plastic bag were found in Wood's bedroom last spring, when a search warrant was issued, Adams said.
...
Wood, the Samsons' point guard and a two-year starter, continues to play in GCC basketball games, indicating the college has not taken any public disciplinary action.
...
Routheaux noted Wood is "innocent until proven guilty."
