Mr. Henry Wood

South Texas Electric Cooperative employees worked through the night to restore power to substations serving customers in Victoria, Calhoun and Matagorda counties, said Henry Wood, chief system operator.

As of early Wednesday morning, more than 8,000 customers still lacked power, said Wood.

South Texas is working to provide power to substations now, he said, and hopes to finish later this evening.
