"

Brahms Symphony No. 2, adds Wood in the release, "is a delightful combination of lyrical charm and masterful treatment of recurring themes and concludes with a cheerfully robust finale."
And Smetana's Moldau "is an ironic piece charged with powerful emotion," the release continues.Smetana found inspiration for his compositions while taking daily evening walks along the banks of the Vltava (Moldau) in Prague."[M]elodies flowed through his head and he would return home to make rough notes on manuscript paper," says Wood.
