When I asked Francie what her inspiration was for carrying a large selection of boys' clothing, she pointed to ten-year-old Jimmy. She knows that boys love to look like dad or their favorite male role model so she carries many of the popular "adult" lines, noting that many stores carry boys' clothes that dads would never consider wearing.Francie's dedication to great quality and style prompts her to travel to Los Angeles and San Francisco to hand-select every piece of boys' and girls' clothing for her store. She says that it's not just about the style, but that fabric and comfort are a huge reason for her selections. But Jimmy isn't the only inspiration for the store; sister Julia is responsible for the name "Lollipops."Francie tells us that when Julia was born, brother Jimmy couldn't say Julia and she was soon named "Julala" which turned to "Lolli" and then "Lollipop."Since Mom's store also has an incredible selection of girls' clothing that keeps up with the most popular fashion trends, Julia has a definite influence on the store as well.It is always a good sign when a business begins because of a pure passion for its products and services.Francie Wood is a perfect example of being in love with her passion. After all, it's all about her most precious loves, her children.
