CANTOR FITZGERALD NAMES ELIZABETH WOOD TO SENIOR SALES POSITION INTERNATIONAL EQUITIES FOR INSTITUTIONAL CLIENTS

NEW YORK CITY, January 19 -- Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.'s International Institutional Equity Sales and Trading Division (ITD) today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Wood as senior sales trader charged with executing order s on non-U.S. equity products, plus ADRs, for the firm's leading domestic and European institutional clients.

Ms. Wood, a seasoned equity trader, joins an elite global equity sales team that reports directly to Angel ( Chic) Pabon, head of the firm's International Equity Trading Desk, and Philip Marber, the Division's chief operating officer.

Before opening her firm, Ms. Wood was director of sales and trading at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell's Internatio nal Equity Department and, prior to that, vice president and trading manager in the International Equity Division of Paribas Corp.She was also vice president and sales manager of the International Equity Division at Drexel Burnham Securities and began her trading career with E.F. Hutton.

A resident of Huntington, Long Island, Ms. Wood earned her undergraduate degree at Notre Dame University in 1977 and, later, a graduate degree in finance from DePaul University.
