DEWAYNE WOOD joined Daymark as a pastoral and mental health counselor in 2006.He is an Associate Licensed Counselor in Alabama is currently supervised by Joyce McKay, LPC.He earned a Master of Arts in Counseling (2006) from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida.Also, he holds a Master of Divinity (2002) degree from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts (1994) degree from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas where he studied both Christian ministry and psychology.Dewayne has previously served churches and a hospice organization in both spiritual care and counseling roles to patients and families.Dewayne offers experience in individual counseling, premarital counseling, marital therapy, and group counseling.His professional interests lie in working with couples and individuals struggling with fear, anxiety, depression, and loss.These areas usually provoke spiritual questions as one struggles through places where life and faith collide.He enjoys helping couples learn to strive with and for one another rather than against each other by discovering individual relationship strategies in premarital marital counseling.Dewayne is available for teaching at churches and seminars on a variety of topics.Currently, he and his wife attend Red Mountain Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
