   David S. Wood joined CardioNet in April 2006 from SurModics, Inc., where he served as Vice President of the Diagnostics and Drug Discovery Business Unit and Vice President and General Manager of the Drug Delivery Business Unit.Prior to joining SurModics, he held a variety of management positions in product development, operations, and marketing at Guidant Corporation's Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.Prior to Guidant's formation as a spin off from Eli Lilly and Company, David held several management positions at Lilly's Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. subsidiary.David joined Eli Lilly and Company as a Chemical Engineer and while at Lilly, he served in engineering, financial, and medical device business development positions.David received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
