David Wood - Director of Human Resources (Associate Director)

Born in Durham City, David has worked in Personnel and Human Resources since 1982.In 1984 he was awarded the Diploma of the Institute for Health Services Management.His previous employers include Argyll & Clyde Health Board and North Tees Health NHS Trust, where he became Deputy Director of Personnel in 1989.He took up his current position here at the Countess in November 1994.His professional interests include acting as examiner for the 'Personnel and Management' paper of the Institute of Health Record Information and Management.He is also an assessor for the National Health Service Management Training Scheme.David's personal interests include wildlife and safari holidays - and being an avid supporter of Derby County Football Club!He is married and lives in Tarporley.
